Job Overview
A well-established law firm in Oakland, CA is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their growing team. This position will be responsible for managing workers' compensation claims from start to finish, including depositions and trial preparation. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a supportive team.

Duties

  • Manage workers' compensation files from inception to resolution
  • Handle depositions and provide trial preparation (trial experience is a plus, but not required)
  • Work closely with support staff to ensure cases are handled efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, and other stakeholders
  • Provide legal advice and guidance related to workers' compensation claims
  • Stay updated on relevant state laws and regulations

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation law
  • Proven ability to handle workers' compensation claims from start to finish
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Professional and flexible demeanor, with excellent communication skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active Bar license in the state of California

Certifications

  • A valid California Bar license required
