Duties:

• Manage and litigate civil cases from inception to resolution
• Assist in workers' compensation cases, with opportunities for cross-training
• Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and provide counsel to clients
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and hearings
• Work closely with senior attorneys to strategize and build cases
• Maintain regular client communication and manage client expectations
• Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and strategies
• Excellent communication and legal writing skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn workers’ compensation law

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• An active member of the South Carolina Bar in good standing

Skills:

• Civil litigation experience
• Ability to conduct legal research and draft legal documents
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
• Time management and multitasking ability
