Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney in Modesto. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation matters. This includes conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, appearing in court, and negotiating settlements. The ideal candidate will have 1-10 years of experience.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters
• Conduct legal research
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and other proceedings
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Manage case files and deadlines

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Admission to the State Bar of California
• 1-10 years of experience in civil litigation
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Litigation experience, including courtroom appearances
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Admission to the State Bar of California
