Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil litigation, focusing on insurance defense, personal injury defense, general liability, and business matters.
• Handle complex cases, including independently preparing and filing legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build a robust defense strategy.
• Take and defend depositions, including those of critical witnesses, experts, and parties involved in the case.
• Prepare and argue motions before the court, ensuring strong, persuasive legal arguments.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations to advocate for clients’ best interests.
• Provide clients regular updates, legal advice, and strategic counsel throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
• Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and other proceedings as required.

Requirements

• Experience in civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense.
• Proven experience handling complex civil cases, personal injury defense, general liability, and business-related matters.
• Strong background in taking and defending depositions and preparing and arguing motions.
• Prior experience managing cases independently, from inception through resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
