A law firm seeks a senior-level associate to join its prestigious International Trade Commission (ITC) Section 337 Litigation and Trade Remedies practice in Washington, D.C. Duties

  • Represent clients in Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).
  • Advise clients on trade remedies, export controls, economic sanctions, and strategic competition issues.
  • Manage and lead complex litigation related to trade disputes, intellectual property rights, and international trade regulations.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies for clients in industries such as manufacturing, energy, critical minerals, and materials.
  • Provide expert counsel on compliance with international trade regulations and supply chain management.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys to handle complex regulatory matters and trade litigation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Assist in the growth of the practice by supporting business development initiatives and fostering client relationships.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in international trade law, regulatory trade issues, or trade remedies.
  • Experience with ITC Section 337 investigations and related litigation is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of export controls, economic sanctions, and strategic competition matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex legal issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Outstanding research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong client service orientation with the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
  • Proven track record of handling complex trade disputes and regulatory matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Exceptional academic achievements.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in Washington, D.C., or the ability to become admitted promptly.

  • In-depth knowledge of international trade law, including export controls, sanctions, and trade remedies.
  • Expertise in ITC Section 337 litigation and regulatory compliance matters.
