Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced and detail-oriented attorney licensed in Delaware to handle secured transactions, asset recovery, and related legal matters. This role involves resolving disputes, negotiating settlements, and managing litigation for financial institutions, fleet management companies, and other clients with a vested interest in high-value assets. The position is remote, but candidates must reside in Delaware.

Duties:

  • Assess new case assignments, analyze legal avenues, and provide strategic solutions for clients.

  • Manage a high-volume caseload while ensuring compliance with deadlines and professional standards.

  • Negotiate lien disputes with repair facilities, tow companies, and government entities.

  • Resolve property damage claims through direct discussions with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel.

  • Represent clients in arbitration and litigation, handling all stages of the legal process when disputes cannot be settled.

  • Communicate with key stakeholders, including insurance representatives, attorneys, and asset recovery professionals.

  • Secure necessary documents and releases from clients to finalize settlements.

  • Maintain meticulous records of all case activities using case management software and other relevant tools.

  • Adhere to ethical and professional guidelines, ensuring compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in the state of Delaware.

  • Ability to work remotely while maintaining high productivity and strong organizational skills.

  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

  • Proficiency in handling legal cases involving secured transactions, asset recovery, and property disputes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active bar membership in Delaware.

Certifications:

  • Delaware State Bar License (mandatory).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to case management and legal research software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
