Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on family law matters, including divorce, paternity, prenuptial agreements, and post-judgment cases.
  • Research relevant case facts, financial records, expert evaluations, and applicable law.
  • Interpret case law and court decisions to determine how they affect the client’s case.
  • Develop case strategies focused on achieving quick and cost-effective resolutions for clients.
  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, exhibits, balance sheets, support calculations, and prenuptial agreements.
  • Represent clients in court by presenting testimony, evidence, and legal arguments.
  • Delegate tasks to the support team and mentor junior attorneys.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure optimal client outcomes and case management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in good standing.
  • Proven knowledge of family law procedures, particularly within the counties of Cook, DuPage, Lake, and McHenry.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience in preparing legal documents and appearing in court.
  • Ability to develop case strategies that prioritize client success and cost efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in the state of Illinois.

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, including divorce, custody, child support, and related matters.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
