Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking a highly qualified International Trade Associate with 2-5 years of experience in U.S. international trade and trade remedy matters. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and writing skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.

Location:

  • Washington, D.C.

Duties:

  • Handle U.S. international trade and trade remedy matters, including:
    • Anti-Dumping (AD) and Countervailing Duty (CVD) cases
    • Safeguard measures
    • Customs regulations
    • Section 232 and Section 301 investigations
    • Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) compliance
  • Conduct legal research and provide in-depth analysis of trade policies
  • Draft legal documents and provide recommendations to clients on trade-related matters
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategic solutions for complex international trade issues

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience handling U.S. international trade and trade remedy matters
  • Superior communication and writing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Washington, D.C. Bar or eligibility for admission

Skills:

  • Expertise in U.S. international trade laws and regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent legal research and drafting skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
