Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Analyze legal information and assist in creating effective case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Prepare and organize supporting documents for court filings, such as exhibits and affidavits.
  • Manage case files, meeting all necessary deadlines for a seamless workflow.
  • File court documents, ensuring procedural compliance.
  • Monitor court dockets and deadlines, keeping the legal team informed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist in preparing trial correspondence, communication, and exhibits.
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation and court proceedings.
  • Summarize depositions and prepare trial materials as required.

  • Draft engagement letters and assist with client invoicing.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Maryland State Bar.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience practicing employment law with a focus on litigation.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) rules and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
