Job Overview: A law firm in Riverside, CA, seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in immigration law to represent clients in court hearings, interviews, and immigration applications.   • Duties:

    • Meet with clients in office, court, and detention facilities to discuss immigration options and application strategies.
    • Research cases by conducting declarations, reading statements, reviewing evidence, and conducting extensive legal research into laws and regulations.
    • Plan and present arguments in immigration court and interviews on behalf of clients; advise clients following each hearing.
    • Maintain client relationships by fostering good rapport, communicating often, and explaining complex legal proceedings and concepts.
    • Attend hearings in immigration court and file visa applications at USCIS offices and other relevant locations.
    • Prioritize casework and delegate tasks to supporting staff respectfully and efficiently.
    • Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with essential filing requirements for immigration services.
    • Plan, draft, and execute legal arguments to support affirmative and defensive immigration strategies.
    • Review and sign immigration applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
    • Communicate case progress and updates to senior attorneys and clients as necessary.
  • Requirements:

    • Must be a Licensed Attorney in good standing.
    • Ideally, 2 years of experience in immigration law is preferred.
    • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or equivalent required.
    • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent research and analytical abilities.
