Duties:

• Provide legal support in restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy cases, both locally and nationally.
• Assist senior attorneys with client consultations, document preparation, and court filings.
• Research and analyze legal issues, drafting legal memoranda, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and develop practical, effective solutions.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to ensure high-quality client service and case management.
• Stay current on developments in bankruptcy law and insolvency practices.
• Represent clients in hearings, court proceedings, and settlement negotiations when applicable.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience in Restructuring, Insolvency, or Bankruptcy law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to legal research and writing.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain positive client relationships.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Maine (additional licensure in other states is a plus).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Maine Bar is required. Other State Bar memberships are beneficial.
