Patent Litigation Senior Associate/Counsel

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Senior Patent Litigation Associate or Counsel with 7-10 years of experience to join its Intellectual Property practice group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in litigating cases involving complex technologies such as computer, software, wireless devices, and medical devices. Extensive experience with Patent Trial & Appeal Board (PTAB) practice, including managing inter partes reviews (IPRs) from start to finish, is essential. This is a dynamic opportunity to work on cutting-edge patent cases, with a focus on both litigation and PTAB proceedings.

Duties:

• Manage and lead patent litigation cases involving technologies such as computer, software, wireless devices, and medical devices.
• Handle inter partes reviews (IPRs) and Patent Trial & Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings from start to finish.
• Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on the development and execution of litigation strategies.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on patent litigation and IPR matters.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates, ensuring efficient management of cases and professional development.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering expert legal advice and case updates.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in patent litigation with a focus on PTAB and IPR proceedings.
• Experience litigating patent cases involving computer, software, wireless devices, or medical device technologies.
• USPTO registration required.
• Strong academic background.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant state(s).
• USPTO registration is required.
