Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney for their Washington, D.C. office. The Litigation Attorney must demonstrate excellent legal writing skills, strong oral presentation skills, and meticulous attention to detail. They should thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment and be able to work collaboratively. Prior active litigation experience, including in law school clinics, and journal experience are advantageous. High-performing litigation associates can expect substantial responsibility for important filings, as well as opportunities early in their careers to take depositions and appear in court.

Duties:

• Draft compelling, accurate, and thoughtful written work product
• Demonstrate excellent writing and editing skills
• Represent clients effectively in court proceedings
• Work collaboratively with colleagues
• Take substantial responsibility for important filings
• Take depositions and appear in court early in their career
• Maintain a strong understanding of the lifecycle of a civil case

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active litigation experience, including in law school clinics (preferred)
• Journal experience (preferred)

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
