Duties:

  • Collaborating with attorneys and clients on patent-related matters
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on patent issues
  • Reviewing and drafting patent applications and responses to office actions
  • Participating in client meetings and communications regarding patent matters
  • Keeping abreast of relevant legal and technical developments in patent law

Requirements:

  • Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  • Ph.D. or M.S. focused in cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, virology, chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacy, or equivalent discipline
  • 10+ years of patent prosecution experience
  • Technical background in biological sciences and pharmaceutical sciences preferred
  • Broad technical knowledge in relevant fields
  • Experience with patent portfolio management and strategy development
  • Excellent academic record
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English

Education and Certifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in relevant technical field
  • Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
