Job Overview: A law firm specializing in energy and infrastructure law is seeking a Projects Lawyer with 4-6 years of experience in project development and mergers and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in renewable energy, oil & gas, or project development, including negotiating various agreements crucial to project execution.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreements, operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements, equipment procurement agreements, and other development agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for project transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel on project financing, regulatory compliance, and commercial agreements related to energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, financial advisors, and regulatory specialists, to ensure project success.
  • Handle legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures related to energy and infrastructure projects.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar is in good standing in Colorado.
  • 4-6 years of experience practicing law, focusing on project development and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proven experience in renewable energy, oil & gas, or project development sectors.
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and other relevant project development agreements.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Energy Law or related field (e.g., LEED accreditation) is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
