A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team in East Aurora, NY. Duties:

  • Handle a range of litigation cases from initial assessment through trial, including commercial, employment, civil rights, personal injury, product liability, and construction-related disputes.
  • Oversee case management, maintain detailed files, and coordinate litigation strategies in alignment with client goals.
  • Conduct and defend depositions to gather critical case information and shape case strategy.
  • Draft, file, and argue motions in state and federal court, preparing compelling oral and written advocacy.
  • Work directly with clients, providing strategic advice and updates on case developments.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a collegial and cooperative work environment.
  • Take initiative in business development, with potential future ownership opportunities for motivated attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Proven expertise in managing litigation files, handling depositions, and engaging in motion practice.
  • Interest in pursuing ownership opportunities within the firm is highly desirable.
  • Attorneys with a partial book of business are encouraged to apply.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
