Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with experience in General Liability and Auto Defense to join their Scottsdale, AZ office. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for attorneys with 1 to 7 years of experience, particularly those with a background in professional lines, Medical Malpractice, and Assisted Living/Long Term Care. The role involves representing clients through various stages of the legal process, from initial claims handling to trial and appeal.

Location:

  • Scottsdale, AZ

Duties:

  • Conduct medical records analysis and case preparation.
  • Draft comprehensive legal reports, including initial, interim, pre-trial, and appellate reports.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests and related motions.
  • Attend court appearances regularly to represent clients in hearings and other proceedings.
  • Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
  • Draft motions for summary judgment and other critical case documents.
  • Collaborate with clients and legal teams to ensure strategic case progression.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona.
  • 1 to 7 years of experience in General Liability, Auto Defense, or related fields, including Medical Malpractice and Assisted Living/Long Term Care.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex legal issues.
  • Proficiency in legal research and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with discovery processes, depositions, and drafting motions for summary judgment.
  • Ability to manage cases independently and effectively within a collaborative environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Arizona State Bar.
