Associate Attorney needed for Scottsdale office

Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with experience in General Liability and Auto Defense to join their Scottsdale, AZ office. The role involves representing clients through various stages of the legal process, from initial claims handling to trial and appeal.

Location:

Duties:

• Conduct medical records analysis and case preparation.
• Draft comprehensive legal reports, including initial, interim, pre-trial, and appellate reports.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests and related motions.
• Attend court appearances regularly to represent clients in hearings and other proceedings.
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
• Draft motions for summary judgment and other critical case documents.
• Collaborate with clients and legal teams to ensure strategic case progression.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona.
• 1 to 7 years of experience in General Liability, Auto Defense, or related fields, including Medical Malpractice and Assisted Living/Long Term Care.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex legal issues.
• Proficiency in legal research and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with discovery processes, depositions, and drafting motions for summary judgment.
• Ability to manage cases independently and effectively within a collaborative environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Arizona State Bar.
