Commercial Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A national law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. The firm handles a wide array of complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on both federal and state court cases nationwide. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of commercial litigation experience, including proficiency in case management, brief writing, and handling depositions. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse, high-stakes cases across multiple industries, including real estate, securities, privacy, and more.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Manage and represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including consumer class action defense, real estate litigation, trade secret disputes, breach of contract, and business tort litigation.
• Handle cases related to securities fraud, shareholder derivative lawsuits, product liability, and consumer protection defense.
• Defend life insurers and financial services firms in class action and regulatory matters.
• Conduct solo court appearances, including hearings and motions.
• Take and defend depositions, working with clients and opposing counsel to gather key facts.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Perform legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and case management.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Experience with consumer class actions, real estate, trade secret disputes, and breach of contract matters.
• Proficiency in case management and writing persuasive legal briefs.
• Strong experience taking and defending depositions.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently handle court appearances.
• Admission to the California Bar is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
