A well-established, multi-state law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a strong background in litigation, foreclosure law, and bankruptcy to join its team. This fully remote position focuses on representing mortgage servicers in foreclosure-related legal matters, bankruptcy proceedings, lender defense, and post-foreclosure evictions. The role offers a professional, collaborative environment and opportunities for long-term career growth.

Manage a caseload of contested litigation matters related to:
Nonjudicial foreclosures
Bankruptcy (including creditor representation)
Loss mitigation
Post-foreclosure evictions
Lender defense cases
Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, appellate briefs, correspondence, and legal documents
Provide legal oversight and guidance to paralegal staff, reviewing and approving their work
Conduct legal research and case strategy development
Attend court hearings, mediations, and oral arguments
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts in a timely and professional manner
Record and maintain accurate billing entries for all legal services performed
Stay current on applicable laws and regulations through continuing legal education (CLE)
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, including litigation and bankruptcy
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
Strong knowledge of California foreclosure statutes preferred
Familiarity with post-sale title and marketability issues is a plus
Must be comfortable working in a remote environment and utilizing digital legal tools
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
Valid driver’s license (for court-related travel)
Proficiency in Westlaw and legal billing software
Strong legal writing and research abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
Commitment to ethical practice, organization, and time management
