Job Overview:
An established law firm is seeking a highly skilled associate attorney to join its team in supporting the Missouri practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for creditors' rights and litigation, with a demonstrated commitment to professional growth and excellence in client service. Duties:

  • Handle a substantial caseload focused on creditors' rights, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and litigation.
  • Represent clients in court, ensuring the delivery of timely and high-quality legal services.
  • Manage discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution effectively.
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to clients, with a proactive approach to resolving complex issues.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by building relationships within the legal community and clients.
  • Attend court hearings and depositions as required.
  • Travel as needed for court appearances and client meetings.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Missouri Bar.
  • Ability to obtain licenses in the Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts (if not already licensed).
  • Preferably 5+ years of litigation experience, but applications from newly licensed attorneys will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of creditors’ rights, particularly in foreclosure and bankruptcy.
  • Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code is an advantage.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on collaboration and mentoring.
  • Courtroom experience is essential.
  • Strong commitment to providing exceptional client service and exercising sound legal judgment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar.
  • Additional Bar licenses are considered a plus.
