Litigation Attorney

Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to expert discovery.

• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.

• Conduct complex legal research and discovery investigations.

• Draft discovery requests, motions, case evaluation summaries, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.

• Review discovery responses, depositions, and prepare case summaries and litigation update reports.

• Negotiate with opposing counsel to settle claims.

• Provide legal analysis, status reports, and advice to clients throughout litigation.

Requirements:

• Must be barred in New York.

• Experience in New York litigation.

• Background in general liability or labor and employment law preferred.

• Experience in drafting discovery, conducting depositions, and arguing motions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New York State Bar membership.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.

• Excellent writing and organizational abilities.

• Effective negotiation and advocacy skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with Lexis software.
