Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and provide guidance regarding case strategies.
• Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on the outcomes and next steps.
• Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, and conducting legal research.
• Analyze case outcomes based on legal precedents and advise clients accordingly.
• Maintain and manage a caseload effectively, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Provide detailed legal analysis to clients, identifying any potential benefits or risks to the case.
• Gather additional evidence to support the client’s case and challenge prosecution’s charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions, gathering necessary information from witnesses and experts to support the case.

Requirements:

• Proven experience handling criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Ability to strategize and collaborate effectively with fellow attorneys and support staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on client service.
• Strong legal research, writing, and motion drafting skills.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet strict deadlines.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
