Job Overview:
A prominent law firm, located in Chicago, IL, is seeking an experienced mid-level Corporate/IP Transactions Associate Attorney. This position will focus on intellectual property and technology transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic corporate transactions. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in corporate and intellectual property law, particularly in technology-related M&A, licensing, and commercial agreements. A solid understanding of privacy transactions and compliance is also essential. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with clients in navigating complex intellectual property rights matters.

Duties:

• Advise clients on a wide range of intellectual property and technology-related transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and licensing agreements

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of technology agreements and other commercial contracts

• Conduct due diligence investigations for buy-side and sell-side corporate transactions

• Provide counsel on privacy compliance and related transactions

• Work with clients to address intellectual property rights and issues during corporate transactions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives

Requirements:

• Significant experience in intellectual property and technology transactions

• Strong background in M&A, joint ventures, and related corporate transactions

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial and technology agreements

• Experience in privacy law and compliance

• Proven ability to conduct thorough due diligence investigations

• Demonstrated experience advising clients on intellectual property rights

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the IL State Bar.
