Associate Attorney needed for Palm Desert office

Palm Desert office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney with experience. The candidate will attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice. Will organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action. Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently. Should preferably have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Must have passed the Bar exam and possess a current State of California Bar Card. Experience in propounding and responding to all forms of discovery is required.

The candidate should have the ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow the client base. Must have a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff, clients, and opposing counsel. The ability to manage one's own caseload from inception to case resolution is required.
