Job Title: Real Estate Counsel

Job Overview:
A well-established, globally connected law firm based in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an experienced legal professional to join its Real Estate team. This strategic role focuses on advising clients in the renewable energy sector on property-related legal matters, including land acquisition, title review, and development transactions. Duties:

  • Guide clients through real estate aspects of renewable energy development projects

  • Draft, negotiate, and review property transaction documents including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and title instruments

  • Analyze title commitments and survey materials; draft curative documentation to resolve title issues

  • Advise on land control strategies and interface with title insurance providers and surveyors

  • Collaborate with legal teams to structure deals, coordinate closings, and ensure legal compliance

  • Provide tailored counsel on utility-scale project sites, title endorsements, and development risk mitigation

  • Maintain ongoing client communications and support project execution from acquisition to development

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience practicing real estate law, preferably with a focus on energy infrastructure or large-scale development

  • Demonstrated expertise in title analysis, insurance endorsements, and curative documentation

  • Proven ability to lead or support transactional real estate workstreams independently

  • Familiarity with renewable energy project structuring and related regulatory considerations is highly advantageous

  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal communication abilities

  • Member in good standing with the Missouri Bar (or eligible for admission)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Missouri Bar license (or reciprocal eligibility)

Skills:
