Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Creditor's Rights Attorney. The ideal candidate will be proficient in consumer credit collections and possess a strong understanding of state laws and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The role involves managing assigned cases using the firm’s case management software, appearing in court, and occasionally traveling. The attorney will be expected to exhibit superior client care and proactive communication while working collaboratively in a team environment.

Duties:

• Actively utilize the Firm’s case management and reporting software to manage assigned matters.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including occasional travel to different jurisdictions.
• Apply knowledge of consumer credit collections, state-specific laws regarding consumer collections, and FDCPA to legal matters.
• Provide proactive communication and superior client care throughout the legal process.
• Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and staff within the firm.
• Prepare and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission and membership in good standing with the Georgia State Bar.
• Working knowledge of consumer credit collections, FDCPA, and state laws regarding consumer collections.
• Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.

Education:

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Member in good standing of the Georgia State Bar.
• Multi-state licensure is a plus.
