Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is currently looking for an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a background in real estate, civil litigation, or creditors' rights who is eager to take on new challenges and contribute to a dynamic legal practice.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases, focusing on real estate, foreclosure, eviction, and creditor rights matters.
  • Handle bench trials and motions practice, with a strong foundation in civil procedure and loss mitigation.
  • Actively use case management software for tracking and reporting on assigned cases.
  • Perform court appearances, with occasional travel to the office in Newport Beach, CA.
  • Demonstrate proactive communication with clients and colleagues, ensuring client needs are met with professionalism.
  • Collaborate within a team environment, mentoring junior associates as necessary.
  • Manage complex legal matters with attention to detail and effective problem-solving strategies.

Requirements:

  • Must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate, civil litigation, or creditors' rights.
  • Proven experience in handling Title & Lien Priority, Title Claims, Foreclosure, Eviction, TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA matters.
  • Familiarity with civil procedures and motions practice.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters and communicate effectively with clients and peers.
  • Willingness to travel for court appearances or client meetings as required.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • California Bar License (required).
  • Additional state bar licenses are a plus.
