Job Overview:
An esteemed law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an Entry-Level Investigations Attorney. This role presents a valuable opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain experience and advance their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will manage a caseload and interact with clients while working alongside a dynamic Criminal Defense Team.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and draft necessary legal documents.
  • Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing.
  • Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, and conducting witness interviews.
  • Perform legal research and analyze potential case outcomes based on legal precedents.
  • Manage a workload of cases and provide legal analysis for clients.
  • Accumulate additional evidence to support clients’ cases and counter prosecution charges.
  • Prepare clients for depositions, determining essential goals and gathering supporting information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated interest in Criminal Defense law through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships.
  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Active bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered).
  • Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate and strategize.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.
  • Experience with Case Management Software preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission (or pending).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze and strategize based on legal outcomes.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
