Duties:

  • Manage and advance a caseload primarily focused on property damage (75%) and personal injury (25%).
  • Prepare legal documents, conduct investigations, and gather evidence to support case strategies.
  • Represent clients in local, state, and federal courts, including hearings and depositions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and effectively communicate with clients to manage expectations.
  • Ensure all case-related deadlines are met and cases are handled promptly.
  • Participate in trial preparation and collaborate with the legal team on case strategies.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of legal experience, preferably in civil litigation or trial settings.
  • Experience in insurance defense or a desire to transition to plaintiff's work is desirable.
  • Ability to take and defend depositions, represent clients in hearings, and contribute to trial preparations.
  • Previous experience as an assistant state attorney or assistant public defender is a significant advantage.
  • Bar certification in Florida is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable but not mandatory based on experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Florida Bar License.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, drafting, and case management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
