Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Senior Advice & Counsel Associate or Of Counsel with at least 7 years of employment law experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advising employers on day-to-day employment issues, drafting and reviewing employment policies, managing ADA and FMLA matters, drafting employment contracts, providing management and employee training, and conducting workplace investigations. This position demands a highly skilled professional capable of managing multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing strategic legal counsel.

Location:

Duties:

  • Provide advice to employers on day-to-day employment issues
  • Draft and review employment policies and procedures
  • Manage ADA and FMLA matters
  • Draft and negotiate employment contracts
  • Conduct management and employee training sessions
  • Lead workplace investigations
  • Handle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of employment law experience
  • Proven background in providing advice and counseling on employment law matters
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Admission to the California Bar is required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar required

Skills:

  • Expertise in employment law and related counseling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in drafting and reviewing employment policies, contracts, and legal documents
  • Skilled in managing ADA, FMLA, and workplace investigations
