Job Overview: A law firm in Chattanooga, TN, seeks an Attorney with substantial experience in real estate finance law, particularly focusing on large structured commercial transactions. Duties:

  • Manage real estate finance transactions from inception to closing, including post-closing activities.
  • Execute loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, such as mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
  • Provide expertise in asset management and workout experience for real estate finance projects.
  • Oversee secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies on behalf of lenders.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Tennessee State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing real estate finance law within a large law firm.
  • Extensive experience running transactions on behalf of lenders, including complex real estate finance deals.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in handling mezzanine loans and preferred equity transactions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in asset management and workout experience in the real estate finance sector.
  • Familiarity with secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work product within tight deadlines.

Education:
