Job Overview:

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of electrical engineering, software, and technology.
• Engage in patent litigation matters, including preparing and responding to discovery requests, drafting motions, and supporting trial preparation.
• Conduct patentability assessments, infringement analysis, and freedom-to-operate studies.
• Collaborate with clients to provide strategic advice on IP protection, patent portfolios, and patent litigation.
• Work closely with other attorneys, engineers, and professionals to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with legal requirements.
• Stay current on developments in patent law, including updates from the USPTO and evolving technology trends.

Requirements:

• Must be admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• 2-6 years of legal experience in patent prosecution and litigation.
• Expertise in electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience in software, networking, wireless technologies (3G/4G/5G), or chip design is highly desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO is required.
