Duties:

  • Manage personal injury and medical malpractice cases from intake to settlement discussions and/or trial.
  • Conduct depositions, manage written discovery, and handle pre-trial motions.
  • Review medical records extensively to determine case merit and manage accepted cases.
  • Draft demand letters, mediation statements, and conduct legal research.
  • Engage in oral arguments and participate in jury trials as needed.
  • Collaborate with a small team of attorneys and support staff on large cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or general litigation.
  • Strong academic background and excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to speak a second language, particularly Spanish, is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to work in a progressive and client-focused law firm environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD)

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar is required.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills, including legal research, deposition handling, and pre-trial preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
