The ideal candidate should be team-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills and must have an excellent academic record. This role involves handling various aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, development, leasing, title issues, land use, rights of way, construction contracts, and loan documents.

Job Details:

  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to manage and execute commercial real estate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to real estate transactions, such as acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development.
  • Provide legal counsel and support on title issues, land use regulations, and rights of way.
  • Review and negotiate construction contracts and loan documents pertaining to real estate projects.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and research on real estate matters to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee all phases of commercial real estate transactions, from initial negotiations to closing.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex real estate issues and transactions.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and financing documents.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and implications associated with real estate investments and developments.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings, negotiations, and client consultations as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Washington, DC, or eligibility for admission.
  • 3+ years of experience in a top-tier law firm focusing on commercial real estate transactions.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from undergraduate and law school.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Washington, DC, or eligibility for admission.
