Job Overview

A law firm seeks a client-focused Concierge/Intake Attorney to join its team in Newport Beach, CA. This in-person position is central to handling new client intake, facilitating initial consultations, and managing case onboarding. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset. While knowledge of family law, probate, and trust/estate matters is preferred, comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.

Duties

  • Conduct telephone consultations with potential clients and address their initial legal concerns
  • Gather essential case information, identify key issues, and assess financial resources
  • Set up new client profiles in the firm’s case management software
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure proper case assignment and management
  • Maintain a solution-oriented approach, assisting clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by managers or partners

Requirements

  • Active California Bar License
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • High level of initiative and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence, empathy, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Commitment to superior client service and advocacy
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California (required)
