A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its practice in Philadelphia, PA. This position is suited for an attorney with experience in U.S. franchising regulations and the skills to handle franchise-related agreements and regulatory compliance. The role provides an opportunity to work on complex business transactions within the franchise sector, serving a broad range of clients.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and other regulatory filings.
  • Advise clients on complex business transactions in the franchise and distribution sectors.
  • Provide counsel on compliance and regulatory issues to both domestic and international clients.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys on transactional and litigation franchise matters.
  • Serve a varied client base, including emerging franchisors, established franchise companies, private equity firms, and international businesses expanding into the U.S.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Familiarity with U.S. franchising regulations and compliance processes.
  • Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar or eligibility for admission.
