Job Overview

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. The position focuses on energy transition financing, providing the opportunity to work on globally recognized matters, including innovative financing deals in the energy transition and renewable energy sectors. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and is available in multiple U.S. office locations.

Duties

  • Handle complex transactions related to financing and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) in the energy transition sector.
  • Manage tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to project finance and M&A.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on energy transition financing projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to execute high-value transactions in the energy space.
  • Lead and support innovative energy transition and infrastructure financing projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Strong experience in handling transactions involving tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients and manage high-profile transactions.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
