A law firm located in Philadelphia is seeking a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney with 4-8 years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice matters. The ideal candidate must possess a top-notch academic background, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, and a Pennsylvania law license. Judicial clerkships are considered a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a caseload of medical malpractice matters from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze medical records, and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with medical experts and other professionals to develop case strategies.
  • Conduct client interviews and maintain regular communication with clients.
  • Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
  • Attend case conferences and settlement negotiations.
  • Stay updated on developments in medical malpractice law and relevant medical procedures.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar.
  • 4-8 years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in medical malpractice.
  • Top-notch academic background with excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Judicial clerkship experience (preferred but not required).
  • Pennsylvania law license in good standing.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral advocacy and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex medical records and legal issues.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings and motions.
  • Experience with client communication and case management.
  • Collaboration with medical experts and professionals.
