Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its team in a fully remote position. The role focuses on transactional real estate matters, including negotiating, drafting, and handling complex real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial real estate, finance structures, and experience in representing lenders, investors, and other stakeholders.

Duties:

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage documentation for commercial real estate transactions, including office, retail, industrial, and hospitality properties.
  • Structure and document real estate financing transactions, including mezzanine debt and combined debt/equity arrangements.
  • Draft and manage documentation for equity investment structures, including institutional joint ventures, preferred equity, and sponsor-side promote structures.
  • Handle conventional real estate debt financing transactions, including drafting multi-state legal opinions, mortgages, and security documents.
  • Represent lenders, co-lenders, and intercreditor parties in various financing and transactional matters.
  • Manage leasing contracts and transactions, ensuring all agreements are compliant and comprehensive.
  • Review and prepare closing documents, development documentation, and handle title review.
  • Negotiate title insurance policies.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in transactional real estate law.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating legal and financial documents for real estate transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, including financing structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant state(s).

Skills:

  • Proficient in drafting and reviewing real estate and financial documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of managing high-volume work and meeting deadlines.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
