General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm in White Plains, NY, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Liability practice group. This role involves handling litigation matters, conducting legal research, and representing clients in various proceedings. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, litigation experience, and a proactive approach to case management.

Location:

• White Plains, NY

Duties:

• Review case files and analyze legal claims and causes of action.

• Conduct extensive legal research and draft briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate briefs.

• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours.

• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.

• Draft and respond to discovery requests.

• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.

• Prepare cases for trial and attend proceedings as needed.

• Travel as required for case-related matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in General Liability litigation (Insurance Defense experience is a plus).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.

• Strong client relations and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York (Connecticut admission is a plus but not required).

Skills:
