Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a highly motivated attorney with 8-10 years of experience in healthcare litigation to fill an Associate or Counsel role. The position involves representing healthcare institutions such as hospitals, medical groups, and ambulatory surgery centers in legal proceedings, while advising on regulatory compliance and healthcare law. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent healthcare institutions (hospitals, medical groups, ambulatory surgery centers) in adversarial proceedings, including:
    • Conducting witness interviews
    • Drafting briefs
    • Presenting cases at administrative hearings, arbitrations, and trials
  • Advise healthcare clients on regulatory and accreditation compliance
  • Draft and review governing documents for healthcare entities
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex healthcare law issues
  • Stay up to date on emerging healthcare laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in healthcare litigation
  • Experience handling clinical care and patient safety issues (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative approach with a strong work ethic

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the state of California (or eligibility for admission)
