A respected law firm is seeking a dynamic Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 years of litigation experience to join its team. Duties

• Handle litigation cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing motions.
• Participate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and administrative proceedings.
• Prepare for trials and draft appeals in both state and federal courts.
• Represent clients in diverse practice areas:
  • Civil Rights/Discrimination: Advocacy for victims of unlawful discrimination.
  • Employment Litigation: Matters involving wrongful termination, wage disputes, and whistleblower claims.
  • Real Estate Litigation: Disputes over contracts, property ownership, and brokerage issues.
  • Commercial Litigation: Business disputes such as breaches of contract, fiduciary duties, and unfair competition.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team-oriented environment to deliver superior client outcomes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and admitted to practice law in New York State.
• For newly admitted attorneys: Prior litigation experience, ideally in a law firm handling similar cases.
• For experienced candidates: 2 to 5 years of litigation experience in employment law, discrimination, real estate, or commercial litigation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (Required).

Certifications

• Active New York State Bar License (Required).

• Exceptional legal writing and research skills (experience with Westlaw preferred).
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication abilities.
• A proactive approach to managing complex cases and client relationships.
