The attorney will play a critical role in working with clients and their families, offering comprehensive support throughout the administration process while delivering high-quality legal services.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys and paralegals to gain insight into firm-specific processes
  • Oversee all phases of the Probate and Trust Administration process
  • Meet with families to explain the estate administration process and legal requirements
  • Prepare, review, and finalize legal documents necessary for settling estates
  • Assist with asset liquidation and client follow-up communication
  • Manage an independent caseload while ensuring exceptional client care
  • Travel to satellite offices in Holland, Norton Shores, and Portage as required
  • Advise executors and beneficiaries on establishing their estate plans
  • Conduct educational seminars on the Probate and Trust Administration process
  • Maintain compliance with professional conduct regulations

Requirements:

  • Experience in Trust Administration and Probate law
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and client relationship management skills
  • Willingness to travel to satellite offices when necessary

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan

  • Active Michigan Bar license in good standing
