A law firm based in Southborough, MA, is seeking a dedicated Attorney with a specialization in family law to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage their own cases from initial intake through to resolution. Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and related cases.
  • Conduct client intakes, interviews, and meetings to assess legal needs and provide guidance.
  • Develop case strategies and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and other related legal forums.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, and agreements.
  • Maintain timely and accurate case documentation and billing records.
  • Participate in continuing legal education and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by delivering exceptional client service and fostering client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
  • At least 2 years of experience in family law.
  • Mediation certification and experience are strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle a comprehensive caseload independently.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Mediation certification is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
