A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Austin, TX. This position is ideal for an attorney with 1-3 years of experience who is looking to gain experience in a diverse range of practice areas, including property owners association law, insurance defense, real estate and business litigation, construction law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, collections, bankruptcy, and transactional work. Duties

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in various practice areas, including property owners association law, insurance defense, real estate litigation, and business litigation.
  • Handle construction law and construction defect litigation, including advising on disputes and claims.
  • Draft, review, and revise contractual agreements, corporate governance documents, and real estate documents.
  • Offer general counsel and regulatory compliance guidance for corporate clients.
  • Manage collections and bankruptcy matters, representing clients in court and other legal proceedings.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys on complex litigation and transactional cases to ensure effective case strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience practicing law, with exposure to multiple practice areas preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle a diverse caseload across various legal disciplines.
  • Exceptional communication and client service skills.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in Texas.
