Duties:

  • Represent employers in employment litigation matters, including individual claims and class actions.
  • Provide strategic advice and legal counsel on labor and employment law issues.
  • Prepare legal briefs, motions, and other documents for court filings.
  • Engage in discovery, depositions, and court appearances as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and clients.
  • Manage a caseload with increasing responsibility and autonomy.
  • Stay updated on developments in employment law and regulatory changes.
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing clear and effective legal advice.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in employment litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.
  • A team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when necessary.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the state of Oregon or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Expertise in employment law, including wage & hour laws and discrimination claims.
  • Litigation experience, including taking depositions and preparing motions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to case management.
