Litigation/Trial Attorney

A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation/Trial Attorney to join its team in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 15 years of experience in litigation and trial work. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, conducting thorough legal research, and representing clients in court. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Manage all phases of litigation, from investigation and pleadings through trial, settlement negotiations, and appeals.
• Develop and implement case strategies that align with client goals.
• Conduct depositions, interrogations, and other forms of discovery.
• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations, guiding litigation processes and strategies.
• Maintain client relationships, ensuring regular communication and updates.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to ensure the efficient handling of cases.
• Participate in firm meetings, training sessions, and continuing legal education to stay current with legal trends and developments.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar.
• 4-15 years of experience in litigation and trial work.
• Proven track record of handling complex litigation cases.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar.
