A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney licensed in Indiana, preferably located in the greater Evansville area. This position is ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in creditor's rights and civil litigation, focusing on retail consumer collections. The successful candidate will manage various aspects of file generation and litigation, serving as a crucial point of contact for paralegals, courts, and opposing attorneys.

Duties:

  • Handle all phases of litigation related to retail consumer collections, including court appearances throughout the state.
  • Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings and motions, with attention to detail.
  • Manage case dockets effectively, ensuring timely progress of all matters.
  • Collaborate closely with assigned teams, including paralegals and other attorneys, to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Travel within the state as needed for court appearances and client meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Indiana bar.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in creditor's rights and civil litigation preferred.
  • Tech-savvy with strong organizational skills and self-motivation.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Indiana.
