Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients by evaluating their legal options and advising on the best course of action for a successful resolution.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting motions and arguing cases during legal proceedings.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft essential documents, including briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Oversee and coordinate work with paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure client invoicing, billing records, and meetings are managed efficiently and accurately by administrative teams.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities related to client matters as needed.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • An active member of the state bar (preferred).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior partners, clients, and staff to achieve desired legal outcomes.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction (preferably in California).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficient in legal technology, including research tools and office software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in writing and speaking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
