A well-regarded law firm in East Meadow, NY is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to support its litigation team. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and writing skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively or independently. Prior experience in insurance defense litigation is a plus, but not required. This position offers hands-on experience in case management, litigation support, and direct client interaction in a hybrid work environment.

Conduct in-depth legal research to support case preparation and legal strategy
Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, correspondence, and other documents
Assist in litigation processes including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation
Manage case files and maintain organized records
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal team members
Communicate with clients to gather information and provide case updates
Participate in settlement negotiations and court appearances as needed
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
High attention to detail and organizational competence
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently or as part of a team
Prior litigation experience preferred, but not required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (required)
Active license to practice law in the State of New York (required)
Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw)
Excellent drafting skills for legal documents and court filings
Familiarity with litigation procedures and case preparation
Strong time management and case organization
Professional demeanor and client-service orientation
